After retiring, I went to the social security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home.

I told the woman that I was very sorry but I seemed to have left my wallet at home. I will have to go home and come back later." The woman says, "Unbutton your shirt." So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She says, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" and she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the social security office. She says, "You should have dropped your pants.You might have gotten disability too."



Soccer Coach Wanted

I don't know if any of you would be interested, but I promised my friend that I'd help out by asking around. A bunch of kids are playing on a soccer team this summer and are desperately in need of a coach.

They need someone to help out with training 1-2 nights a week and since I'm far too busy for the rest of the summer with work, I had to decline, but said I'd ask my friends.

If any of you are interested in helping out with coaching and attending the games on a weekend during the summer please let me know.

A true story...
After digging to a depth of 100 metres last year, Russian scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 1000 years, and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network one thousand years ago.

So, not to be outdone,in the weeks that followed, American scientists dug 200 metres and headlines in the US papers read: "US scientists have found traces of 2000 year old optical fibres, and have concluded that their ancestors already had advanced high-tech digital telephone 1000 years earlier than the Russians."

One week later,the Israeli newspapers reported the following: "After digging as deep as 5000 metres, Israeli scientists have found absolutely nothing. They have concluded that 5000 years ago, their ancestors were already using wireless technology.
